Farming:
- The agricultual land spans 23ha, including 1.8 ha of forest and alp called Sattel.
- Our farm consist of two farmsteads, and we manage them according to IP Suisse guidlines.
- Dairy farming and pig farming are our main sources of income.
- Our cows stay at Hintersteig Farm from winter to spring, at Bareneggfarm in autumn, and in summer an Alp Sattel, and they are milked twice daily.
- At Bareneggfarm, you con always find young cattle.
- The Milk is taken every other das to a collection point in the village of Bächli.
- Our pig farming includes sows and fattening pigs, so there are always piglets on our farm
- WE also habe cats, ducks, chickens, and sheep living on our farm.
COWS
We milk about 20 cows, which are in different places depending an the season. The bull is also with the cows. The brees in Brown Swiss and Orginal Brown swiss. in addition, we have about 15 young cattle and calves.
PIGS
Usually, there are young piglets every fife weeks.
Cats
Our famr also has four cats, who really enjoy being around people and other animlas and like to hang out on the farm - staying in the house is not allwed.
Sheep
We have about ten Quessant sheep, the smallest breed in the world. Thea are hardworking and reliably mow our meadows.
Ducks
Our ducks are Pomeranian ducks and enjoy the pond with the frogs as well an the snails an the farm.
chickens
The chickens also lay eggs for our holiday guests.
Rabbit
Deppending on the season, we also have rabbit.
